           graciously loaned their uniforms and equipment for this exhibition.

          In WW II, Camp Ellis was located about 22 miles southeast of Macomb.
  More than 50,000 soldiers were trained there, and 2,000 German
             prisoners
of war were interned there. Little remains today of the camp;
        the buildings
were sold, and there are fields of corn and soy beans as
far as the eye can see.
