Relief Kits for Haiti

The First Christian Church of Macomb is gathering items for health kits and baby kits to support Week of Compassion and Church World Service to meet the needs of the people in Haiti.
We will work with our campus ministry students to package health kits and baby kits on January 31st.
The university students felt compelled to respond to the disaster in Haiti, sharing concern for all of God’s children.
The Hygiene and Baby kit contents can be viewed at the web page and donations of those items will be taken at the church from 9am to 5pm 1/26 and 1/28 or from 8-noon on 1/27.

Unbinding the Soul Prayer Study

Continuing in the Unbinding the Gospel Study, First Christian Church of Macomb is undertaking the Unbinding the Soul Prayer Study. Daily prayer time combined with weekly group study help to introduce a spiritual prayer life to newcomers while strengthening prayer life for others. Current group meetings are Thursdays at 6:30PM in Fellowship Hall and new groups will be starting in February for Lent.

S-O-U-P-Tacular Potluck

On Sunday, January 24 at 12:00 noon, the Membership Department is planning a "S-O-U-P-TACULAR" potluck for Sunday, January 24th at noon in the Fellowship Hall. A sign-up list will be placed in the parlor for individuals to volunteer to bring various soups, sandwiches, and finger foods/desserts. Please plan to kick-off the New Year with a warm bowl of soup and great fellowship. Contact Shannon or Connie with any questions. Hope to see you there!!!

Valentine's Potluck

Sunday, February 14, 2010 is the date for fun. A themed potluck dinner starting at noon (12:00 PM) in Fellowship hall.

Youth Lock-In

From 6:30PM Friday, March 12 to 8:00AM Saturday, March 13, the youth have the run of the church. The lock-in is open to youth from 2nd grade through high-school and includes, activities, games, food and friendship.

Seder Dinner

On Saturday, March 20th, at a time yet to be determined, join us for a time of reflection before entering Holy Week. Reservations will be required for this special event.

Easter Breakfast

Celebrate the risen lord by sharing breakfast before Sunday School. Breakfast starts at 8:00AM Easter morning, Sunday, April 4th.

Ladies' Night Out

The Ladies of the church enjoy a night out with dinner and a play on April 9th, 2010. Dinner first then the Macomb High School spring Play for entertainment. Meet at the church at 5:15PM for car-pooling.

Upcoming Potluck

In May we will have another Church potluck. The theme has yet to be decided, but be ready for fun and delicious food. The potluck will be May 16th at 12:00 noon in fellowship hall.

Annual All-Church Picnic

Hamburgers, hot-dogs, salads and friends. What better way to have fun in the summer. The all-church picnic will be held on June 6th at 12:00 noon in fellowship hall.
