Adams Advertising Specialties began in 1990, with owner Don Adams starting out as a man with a house, a family and a lot of bills to pay in need of work. He had co-owned Adams Discount Center with his two brothers, Walter and John. Unfortunately, though, his brother Walter, had died, and that necessitated that Don and his surviving brother, John, sell the business in 1984. John, too, passed on in 1990.

Don tried several different jobs before AAS, but he just wasn't happy, preferring to be his own boss, and after 30 years as co-owner of Adams Discount, who could blame him. He felt he wasn't cut out for working for somebody else. So, in spite of his bills and debts, he went out on a limb, and started Adams Advertising Specialties. He hasn't looked back yet. It has been full steam ahead, and after only a couple of years in this particular business, he became his own distributor.

2007 is here, now, and so is Don. After 16 years in the business, Don has never been happier. He is his own boss, and has a great clientèle. And they aren't just his customers-they're his friends. His repeat business is great, and it is constistent from year to year, and he's making new friends all of the time. Don knows what he is doing.
